- Our strategy is based on experience and observations over a long career in commercial real estate.
- MDR uses a diverse investment strategy. We are focused on 4 different property types: Flex-Industrial, select service and limited service hotels, multi-family and neighborhood shopping centers. It is our experience that this strategy has helped to buffer our portfolio from volatility in any given investment cycle.
- We invest in the secondary and tertiary markets of the Southeast where yields are higher and generally we are not competing with large institutional investors that invest in primary markets.
- Our geographic focus is in the Southeast where we have prior experience and extensive industry contacts (good on the ground intelligence).
- We invest in “workforce” or “necessity” real estate because we believe it tends to be a more stable sector of the commercial real estate industry where turnover is generally lower and generally less volatile in economic swings.
